First collaboration with Ben Hall and first performance at ISSUE Project Room.

 

Ben Hall (b. 1977) works as an improvising percussionist concentrating on both object-based percussion and trap set as well as curating the label brokenresearch which focuses on new American improvisation. Hall is also a founding member of the 1/4 speed jazz group Graveyards with John Olson of Wolf Eyes. Recent projects include a trio with Bill Dixon, Trauma, a duo with Chris Riggs, a duo with C. Spencer Yeh, and different trio configurations with guitarist Joe Morris. Hall splits time between his home in Detroit and Harlem where he’s pursuing his MFA in sculpture at Columbia University.
